COOL THINGS THAT HISTORIANS DO: TEACHING VIDEOS ON THE VIETNAM WAR (5)

As I mentioned earlier, I worked on a series of teaching videos about the Vietnam War for the Choices Program a few years ago. Sadly, Brown University shut down the Choices Program and scrubbed the website of the program’s contents. Therefore, I wanted to post my teaching videos here. This last set of videos are about the postwar period in South Vietnam and the American historical memory of the war.

How did political repression evolve in (formerly) South Vietnam after the North Vietnam/National Liberation Front victory in 1975?

How did socialist policies shape (formerly) South Vietnam after the North Vietnam/National Liberation Front victory in 1975?

How and why did the Vietnamese refugee crisis develop in post-1975 Vietnam?

How would you assess American historical memory of the US war in Vietnam?
